Located northeast of Nestor Falls, Ontario, Atikwa Lake is over 40,000 acres in size and has many islands, bays and reefs perfect for fishing and exploring. Although this lake is renowned as one of the best Lake Trout waters in Ontario, you may be the only boat on the lake. That is because Atikwa lake is not accessible by land. It's only a 20 minute flight to Headbay Lodge from Nestor Falls. We'll fly you in, which is included in our rates, or you can fly your own floatplane in and park it at our protected and secure private dock. For every two guests over age 15, we include use of a 16/17 ft. aluminum boat with a 20/25 HP Honda 4 stroke motor and fuel throughout your stay. As an added value, when making your reservation, you can pre-book one free portage to a nearby lake for a Bass fishing trip (limit four people).

You'll find our comfortable accommodations are more like staying in a "home on the lake" verses a "remote cabin". Our newly constructed cabins are modern, clean, attractive, and well maintained, with indoor bathrooms, fully stocked kitchens, ample room, and incredible lake views. There is certainly plenty to do for your entire family. Everyone will enjoy swimming at our sandy beach in the clear waters of Lake Atikwa. Within a short distance, you'll find many rock climbing walls and if you choose, a hiking trip in the Canadian wilderness can begin just outside your cabin door. A short hike will bring you to a spectacular 70 foot roaring waterfall. Don't forget to bring your binoculars to keep an eye out for a wide variety of birds, including Bald Eagles and an assortment of other wildlife. Of course you can always just sit back and relax on the deck and listen to nature.
